Sorry I haven't been on here for over a month.  I have been spending less time on the computer and more time in front of the tv and spending time with my kids and working on crafts.

Went to Nashville for a day to spend time with Heather, Abby, Joy and Johnny.  Everybody there is staying busy.

For mother's day spent Saturday with Krissi and Heather and then on Sunday went for a 2 hour brunch with Krissi and Eric.  It was a great weekend.

Updates on all the "crips" in the family.  Maryann is able to use her arm some and is feeling much better.  Amy has her cast off and is able to walk but is unable to return to work because the doctor does not want her standing on it for 8 hours a day.  It will be another week or so before she goes back to work.  Please keep that family in your prayers.  We have added a new "crip" to the family.  Eric fell Wednesday at work and sprain his wrist.  It has made it difficult for him to do his vending jobs so Krissi and I are his left hand for the next few days.

I hope everybody that checks this page is doing good.  I continue to pray for all of you out there.

Thought for the day:  There is a country song that asks "How Can You Be that Lonely" which makes me remember something I learned a long time ago when I was struggling with my faith and life in general.  I can only control myself.  I can only change myself.  By changing and controling myself I can change my surroundings.  I have no control over anybody else.  I can give advice but if I am not willing to take my own advice or accept others advice then I should be quiet and continue to work on myself.  Support those around you but realize they will do what is in their heart.

Another week has gone by and honestly this was a tough one.  My body started aching on Wednesday and continued Thursday.  I took medicine Thursday night and felt better body wise Friday but could not go far from a bathroom.  Finally today I am feeling much better. It is times like that when you miss your mom the most.

Maryann is doing pretty good.  She is having a little trouble sleeping but the arm is healing.  She goes back to the doctor on the 13th.  In the meantime, Amy was playing basketball with Stephen and she messed up her ankle and heal so she is layed up with a cast on her foot.  Her work place is going to help her file disability paperwork because the doctor wants her to stay off of it for a while.  She goes to the doctor the 15th.

Eric got his name on the state job register so now we are just waiting for them to call for an interview.  Hopefully it will be soon.

Heather has added another job to her list.  She is going to be writing different things for different companies.  There is always a possibility that someone might like her work enough to hire her full time.

That is about all the news from this area.  Hope everybody that reads this is doing well.

Thought for the day:  God is willing to help, even before we ask.

Visited with Maryann and Curtis yesterday.  Maryann's arm is starting to heal so she will not have to have any surgery.  Curtis is doing ok.

Eric did well enough on his text the other week to get on the state register so now we need prayers that he will be hired.

Nothing much else going on around here.

Thought for the day:  Excellence is doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way.

Maryann had to reschedule her appointment from last Monday until tomorrow.  The swelling in her arm is going down and the arm is not hurting as much.

We are happy for the blessings that Dorothy and Jim have received this week.  They were having vehicle trouble but have sold the truck and the insurance is paying for the van repairs.

Prayers for Frank.  He has an opportunity for a job but needs a truck.

Eric, Krissi, Heather and I took off for a day this week and visited Tunica.  For those of you who don't know what that is it is a town in Mississippi with casinos.  I won enough to pay for a tank of gas and a nice dinner.  It was my first visit and was fun.  I am very stingy with my money; I played a lot of penny machines.  If the machine did not pay quickly I cashed out and tried another one.

Everything is going good here.  I am working out 3 days a week and enjoying my crafts and the NASCAR season.

Continued prayers for Heather, for her car and for decisions on her future.

Continued prayers for Eric as he searches for a new full time job.

Thought for the day:  Make sure your family knows exactly what you want concerning living with equipment keeping you alive.

Quick update on Maryann.  She went to the doctor yesterday and they have strapped her arm to her body.  She will go back to the doctor next Monday and if the arm is healing then they will leave it alone.  If it is not healing then she will have to have surgery and the doctor has already said it would not be an easy surgery.

Thought for the day:  If we let God choose our paths then we will receive new blessings.
